I have longed to sail an enchanted boat
and I have longed to bring my treasure.
I have longed to leave the scream
and tether for a more gentle weather
Night after night I lay myself down,
down on my own ground.
My bed is a bed of stars and flowers,
sequins and feathers.
My gold is here across my chest,
the gold I dug up when I was sad.
It is the only gold I’ve ever had.
My gold ain’t dusty
It shines so bright
I hold it up in the dark
then I can see in the night
When I sail my enchanted boat
I want no one to mourn
My enchanted boat will be so beautiful
it will be hidden from the storm.
