I Want to Climb

I want to climb up the hill.
I want to see from the top.
I can see so far.
I can see where I put my feet.
Beyond is uncertainty but I do not fear.
There is only a fear of here.
Here there is a dreadful stagnancy
A sort of round and round in the mind.
The mind keeps being trapped.
They trap you, make you feel bad.
Make you feel you should do something
Make you feel you should be proud.
Make you feel you should play a role.
Make you feel you should be twenty feet off the ground.
They make you feel you should know the ins and outs.
They make you feel you should know all the facts.
They make you feel you should be a responsible giant.
They make you feel you should nod your head.
They make you feel you should walk side by side.
They make you feel you should speak words.
They make you feel you should protect your home.
They think you should be fancy free.
They think you should work for the good of the land.
The land was once so good.
